Good, Bad and Ugly of FACSO

Hi classmates and teacher! Let’s talk about our Faculty.

I remember 2007, that week between I knew the results of admission and the enrollment time. I’m from Villarrica and Santiago was new for me. I like to walk long distances and, one day, I went out to explore the city. I was lodging in my great-grandmother mom house (she was 103 and died tow months later; so, i lived with my grandmother there during the first year), in the neighbourhood near Centro de Justicia, and I walked from there to the JGM campus by Ñuble-San Eugenio-Grecia. Then, I entered to FACSO and  I said: “What a political faculty!”, but in spanish. I liked it, it looked a little strange, but very nice.

My favourite place in FACSO is the subterranean. Nobody goes there, only some people who work in the Laboratorio de Aprendizaje (Laboratory of Learning Studies) and some functionaries. I really like it, because I think that is a wasted place and, also, because I don’t know what is really there.  Also, I like fields, as i said in the last paragraph. But I like fields of Ciencias, between the buildings of Física (Physics) and Matemática (Mathemathics). That a very calm place, full of the shade of the fruit trees. But i hate another place: Outdoors of casino. On winter, it’s very cold and winding. On summer, it really seems like a hell branch. It have a transparent roof that helps to bake people.

I’m finishig my 5th grade here, and i must to admit I’m a little bored of FACSO. I like it, i think it is a nice faculty, but usually I prefer to stay at campus’ fields. I like the collective critical awareness of here, but I don’t like when political groups appropiate of the “social conscience”. However, I will miss my faculty when I will leave it.
